About Spencer

With close to 30 years of nonprofit fiscal and administrative management experience, Spencer joined MassBioEd in 2021. As the Chief Financial Officer, he is responsible for overseeing the financial activities of the organization, including budgeting, accounting, the annual audit, and fiscal reporting. Prior to joining MassBioEd, Spencer was Chief Financial Officer at the Asian American Civic Association, a nonprofit workforce development and social services organization that provides a range of services to new Americans and other economically disadvantaged individuals. Before, he served at Commonwealth Corporation, a quasi-public workforce development agency, where he held a number of different management positions, concluding as Director of Program Operations for Workforce Innovations. Spencer holds a Juris Doctorate from Suffolk University Law School and an MFA and a BFA.
