About Sandra

Sandra joined MassBioEd in 2024 and serves as Assistant Director of Biotechnology Education Programs. She came to the organization with extensive research and biotech experience. She has been involved in a a number of biotech startup companies with roles in both research and development and corporate development. Sandra holds an M.S. in Biology from Bonn University, Germany, and the University of New South Wales in Syndey, Australia. She also holds a Ph.D. in Molecular Biology and Genetics from MIT. For over a decade, Sandra has held various leadership positions with non-profit organization Caring Canines Visiting Therapy Dogs, Inc., where she continues to be an active volunteer.
